Biosketch

Victoria "Tori" Marchese, PT, PhD, chair of the Department of Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Science at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, has over 25 years of clinical and research experience in pediatric physical therapy and rehabilitation science.  Dr. Marchese has authored numerous book chapters and peer reviewed articles in the area of assessment and physical therapy intervention for children with acute and chronic illness.  Dr. Marchese's research focuses on the complex interplay between psychosocial and physiological mechanisms that contribute to physical performance and physical activity in children, adolescents, and young adults with hematology/oncology diagnoses.
