Education and Training
Mr. Semesky received a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Virginia in 2014. He then received a Master's in Genetic Counseling from the University of Maryland Baltimore in 2017. Mr. Semesky joined University of Maryland's Center for Advanced Fetal Care as a practicing genetic counselor in 2017.
Biosketch
Mr. Semesky provides prenatal genetic counseling to patients with a variety of concerns including family history issues, abnormal screening results, abnormal ultrasound findings, advanced maternal age and medication use during pregnancy. He has an active role in the education and training of genetic counseling students, medical students, residents and maternal fetal medicine fellows. His area of special interest is the implementation of expanded carrier screening in clinical practice.
