Biosketch

Dr. Rocksmith is the Co-Medical Director of the University of Maryland - Rehabilitation and Orthopedic Institute (UMROI/UM Rehab) Brain Injury Unit.  He is also an assistant Professor in the Dept of Neurology at the University of Maryland  School of Medicine.  He actively manages medical complications associated with Aquired Brain Injury as patients undergo acute inpatient rehabilitation.  He also sees patients twice per week in a brain injury unit continuity clinc and in a Brain Injury/Concussion clinic at UM Rehab.  His research interests are related to factors affecting long term outcome in brain injury survivors, pharmacologic managment of acute post traumatic encephalopathy and concussion evaluation/management.
