Biosketch

Dr. Katherine Jacobson is a native of the Baltimore area, was educated at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and completed her residency in the Family Medicine program at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center. She remained at MedStar Franklin Square as clinical faculty in the family medicine department and simultaneously worked at Healthcare for the Homeless, Baltimore County.  Dr. Jacobson brings a love of teaching into her practice of medicine as she strives to provide excellent care to all of her patients regardless of age or background. . Dr. Jacobson is sensitive to the uniqueness of each patient's situation and adapts her consultations and treatment options appropriately to accommodate individual needs and concerns. She also enjoys providing low-risk obstetrical services. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Clinical Specialty Details

Dr. Jacobson provides full-scope family medicine services. She treats entire families, ages 0-100+. She provides newborn nursery care and performs routine newborn circumcision. She performs in-office procedures including birth control implant, IUD, laceration repair, and skin biopsy and removal of skin lesions. She provides prenatal care, well child care, acute care, and chronic disease management.
