General Adult Psychiatry Sub-I: Inpatient - PSYH 552

Description and Goals:

This is a Sub-Internship in inpatient, adult general psychiatry at the University of Maryland Hospital, Unit 11 West. Specific responsibilities will include following up to 4 patients under the supervision of the ward attending from the time of admission to discharge and directing all aspects of patient care, including diagnostic evaluation, psychopharmacology, and non-biological psychotherapy. Call will consist of either short call (weekenights 4-8pm) or weekend overnight call at a frequency of q5-6, to be arranged with Dr. Knight at the start of the rotation.
