Description and Goals:
This elective is designed for those students who desire a more thorough and intensive knowledge of the radiological evaluation of cardiothoracic diseases and to observe appropriate interaction with various clinical specialties. Students will spend their time in the cardiothoracic section interpreting chest radiographs, CT and MR studies of the chest including advanced cardiac imaging. They can elect to work independently using various 3D work stations. Multidisciplinary conferences in Thoracic Oncology, Surgery, Pulmonary Medicine and Cardiology are held on a weekly basis, and the student attend and participate in these work rounds.
