Description and Goals:
This elective will involve a rotation on the Plastic Surgery Service at the University of Maryland Hospital. The student will be an active member of the team involved in the care of patients with facial and hand trauma, burns, congenital anomalies, as well as, cosmetic and post ablation reconstructions. The student will learn to manage complex wounds and actively participate in skin grafting, lesion excision, and serve as an assistant in more complex operations.
