Family/Community Medicine: Ambulatory - FAPH 541
Prerequisites:
Students must be in good academic standing and have completed the Family Medicine Clerkship.
Location:
University of Maryland, Dept of Family & Community Medicine; 29 South Paca Street; Baltimore, MD 21201
Other sites could include: select community family medicine practices.
Description and Goals:
Receive in depth training and experience in seeing a broad breadth of patients commonly seen in family medicine.
Develop a greater appreciation for the ways in which a family physician can help his/her community.
Gain a greater appreciation of the versatile ways in which family physicians practice medicine.
Experience the practice of family medicine under the tutelage of community physician leaders who manage busy practices with high expertise.
Receive didactic instruction at departmental learning activities, including AM morning report, Core and Grand Rounds.
