Welcome!

The Office of Student Affairs supports the success and well-being of students at the University of Maryland School of Medicine by providing guidance, advocacy, and resources throughout the medical education journey.

From enrollment through graduation, OSA partners with students to support academic progress, career development, and the many milestones of medical school—including the Student Clinician Ceremony, Match Day, and Commencement. We oversee essential student services, including registration, advancement, scholarship and fellowship opportunities, judicial processes, and alumni credentialing.

The Office of Student Affairs is committed to fostering a culture of wellbeing and professional growth through programs such as the SOM UMatter Wellbeing Program, which promotes student wellness and connection, and the OSA STEP Career Advising Program, which provides individualized career guidance and support as students explore their future paths in medicine.

Our goal is to ensure every student has the support, resources, and opportunities needed to thrive throughout medical school and prepare for a successful career as a physician.

The University of Maryland, Baltimore is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, 3624 Market St. Philadelphia, PA 19104.
