Graduate Medical Education - GME
The University of Maryland School of Medicine and the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMS) provide collaborative oversite of more than 50 ACGME-approved GME programs. This oversite includes GME programs approved for “Equivalency Accreditation” and recognized by the State of Maryland for training licensure and oversight. In addition, School of Medicine provides training and mentoring for residents as teachers and role models for our students.
Teaching Skills Programs
Seminars
Feedback Skills, Precepting Skills, Large and Small Group Teaching, Poster Presentation, and Innovations in Educational Technology are presented regularly.
Workshops
Preparing for a career in Academic Medicine, Preparing for Practice, and Mentoring are conducted regularly.
Full-day Courses
Research Skills are offered periodically and resident participation is welcomed.
