Q. How do I certify my course for CME credit?
A. University of Maryland School of Medicine faculty members who are planning CME courses should contact the Faculty Affairs & Professional Development as soon as they initiate planning - at least 6 months prior to the course date. Jane Anderson, Director of CME will meet with the course director to review CME application requirements. Ms. Anderson may be contacted at 410-706-8634 or via email janderson@som.umaryland.edu.
Q. I recently attended a University of Maryland School of Medicine CME course, when will I receive my certificate?
A. Course participants are required to sign in each day of the course to verify their attendance. At the conclusion of each course participation is verified and CME certificates are mailed in approximately 4 - 6 weeks. There is a charge of $20.00 per CME certificate - this is typically collected at course registration. Contact the OPD at 410-706-3958 if you have specific questions regarding your certificate.
Q. I misplaced my CME certificate - how do I receive a duplicate copy?
A. As long as your participation in the course can be verified by your signature on the course sign-in sheet, you may receive a duplicate CME certificate. The cost of duplicate certificates is $20.00. Contact the OPD at 410-706-3958.
