Full and Part -Time Hospitalists (Position #03-309-531, 540):The General Internal Medicine Division in the Department of Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine has an immediate need for full and part-time internists for non tenure track faculty positions at the rank of Instructor and/or Assistant Professor for its inpatient Hospitalist services, including a newly formed Intermediary Care Unit (IMC) hospitalist service. Full and Part-Time Cancer Center Hospitalists (Positions #03-309-548-552): The General Internal Medicine Division, in association with the Marline and Stuart Greenebaum Cancer Center at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and Medical Center, has openings for full and part-time internists for non tenure track faculty appointments for its newly formed Cancer Center Hospitalist Service. These positions will be at the rank of Instructor and/or Assistant Professor and are available in July, 2010. This new service will be responsible for managing medical conditions associated with malignancies as well as overseeing routine chemotherapy admissions, with complete support from Oncology attendings. All hospitalist services provide 24/7 coverage and there are opportunities available for teaching. Ideal candidates will possess outstanding clinical skills, have a strong commitment to general patient care and a strong interest in teaching.
