The Office of Education
The Education Office is responsible for overseeing the Internal Medicine Residency Programs at the University of Maryland Medical Center.
The Department of Medicine started the first in-hospital residency training program in the United States in 1823. Back then there were only two residents in the program, but today more than 140 physicians are pursuing their residencies here.
Please visit here for a complete listing of the residency programs available at the University of Maryland Medical Center.
