SOM Wireless SSIDs

This webpage is for you if: 

• You want to connect your computer equipment (desktop, laptop, Smartphone, printer, etc.) to SOM Wireless.

The University of Maryland School of Medicine Office of Information Services hosts SOM Wireless for use while on the UM Campus. Information Services will be adding wireless access points incrementally. If you would like to request coverage in a specific area, please send the location to our help desk, by phone at 6-3998, or email at help@som.umaryland.edu.

SOM Wireless SSIDs Available

SOMEmp
Logon to the SOMEmp SSID can be done by using your SOM Domain credentials (name@som.umaryland.edu) or your SOM Department of Medicine credentials (name@medicine.umaryland.edu)

SOMGuest
Logon to the SOMGuest SSID can be done by entering the SOM guest account credentials. For approval and/or for the SOM guest account credentials, please contact the SOM HelpDesk.

IHVEmp
Logon to the IHVEmp SSID can be done by using your SOM Domain credentials (name@som.umaryland.edu).

IHVGuest
Logon to the IHVGuest SSID can be done by entering the SOM guest account credentials. For approval and/or for the SOM guest account credentials, please contact the SOM HelpDesk or IHV Tech Support.

SOMStudent
Logon to the SOMStudent SSID can be done by using your SOM Domain credentials (name@som.umaryland.edu). Note, same account and password used to access your SOM Email.
