Hee J. Seung is a Maryland State Board licensed acupuncturist and national board certified acupuncturist by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She was trained at the Maryland Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the U.S. in acupuncture and Chinese herbology.

As a second generation acupuncturist, she has been practicing Chinese Medicine for more than 12 years in private practice in the D.C. metropolitan area. She specializes in women's health issues and works closely with the Korean-American community. One organization she has worked with closely is the Korean Resource Center, which provides health education about a variety of conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, breast cancer, cervical cancer, and lung cancer. Through her work there, she has also collaborated with researchers from Johns Hopkins School of Nursing in behavioral research studies.
