Healing Pathways:  Integrative Training for the Health Care Professional

Fall Class Begins October 1
and runs through November 19, 2009

Class Description

We know how hard practicing medicine has become-how the hand holding, the personal touch, the one on one connecting that first inspired us to work in the health care profession has gradually been pushed into the broom closet along with charts and mops. Some of you may be at a crossroads wondering how will you continue to stay in this field and still maintain your original passion for medicine and healing.

That is why we hope you will join us in the
Healing Pathways class. We will bring you back to a deeper sense of peace, balance and comfort that will benefit you and your ability to help your patients.
After eight weeks of class and personal work we will help you open new pathways at the bedside of your patients. We will help you integrate gentle and effective methods to reduce stress, reduce pain and ultimately demonstrate to your patients that they are the major participant in their own healing journey.

Our weekly time together will include training in gentle integrative techniques for quieting the mind followed by prana yoga sessions to strengthen and infuse the body with vibrant energy.  Mentored bedside patient consultations will be held right within your department to ensure you feel comfortable using these techniques with your patients.  We will also work closely with your department and team in order to help you feel acknowledged in your new role.
