Youth M.O.V.E. Maryland

Youth M.O.V.E. Maryland is a youth led statewide organization dedicated to helping create positive change in the lives of young people and the systems (Child Welfare, Juvenile Services, and Mental Health) that serve them throughout the state of Maryland. This is being done by giving young people the chance to address some of the issues that are in their communities by creating youth groups and organizations and also partnering with other groups and organizations in the community. Youth M.O.V.E. Maryland youth leaders also sit on statewide committees and councils to represent youth voice.

PURPOSE

To give all young people that have experienced any of the youth serving systems (Mental Health, Child Welfare, Juvenile Services and others) a real opportunity to speak up and out in order to create positive change within the various systems that are providing these many services.

MISSION STATEMENT

We, the members of Youth M.O.V.E. Maryland, will work as a diverse collective to unite the voices and causes of youth while raising awareness around youth issues. We will advocate for youth rights and voice in mental health and the other systes that serve them, for the purpose of empowering youth to be equal partners in the process of change.
