The University of Maryland School of Medicine is pleased to announce the establishment of the Health Research Ethics Training Initiative in Egypt (HRETIE). This initiative is sponsored by the Fogarty International Center of the National Institutes of Health.
Objectives of HRETIE:
» Promote sustainable institutional research ethics capacity.
» Promote career development of individuals in research ethics.

» U.S. - Egypt Joint Program for Junior Scientists
» Workshops and Conferences
Participants at the workshop discussing an informed consent exercise. Individuals from Egypt, Jordan, Pakistan, and the United States also participated in the workshop by live web transmission.
