Research Interests

Dr. Vogel studies the relationship between coronary risk factors, such as hypercholesterolemia, hypertension, diet, and emotions, on endothelial function and other aspects of vascular biology.  He has pioneered the study of the vascular effects of single meals, identifying both detrimental and protective factors.  He also studies the vascular biological and angiographic of cholesterol lowering and antihypertensive drugs.  He currently collaborates on studies of the genetic basis for individual subject responses to diet, stress, and drugs.

Clinical Speciality

Dr. Vogel’s clinical interests focus on lifestyle and pharmacological interventions to prevent cardiovascular events.
