Research Interests:

Dr. Thom’s research has two main areas of focus and includes the study of antimicrobial resistant pathogens and prevention of infections in the healthcare setting. She is currently supported by an NIH career development award to explore the epidemiology of Acinetoabacter baumannii and how this important pathogen is spread in the healthcare setting.
