Dr. Vesely is board certified in Internal Medicine, General Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology, and Interventional Cardiology.

Research Interests:

Dr. Vesely’s research interests are focused on the development and utilization of percutaneous mitral valve techniques. In addition, he is involved in regenerative cardiology, studying adult stem cell therapies for heart failure prevention and treatment.

Clinical Speciality:

Dr. Vesely's clinical interests include structural and coronary heart disease, with particular focus on mitral valve disease. He is a member of the Multi-Disciplinary Mitral Valve Disease program and performs both percutaneous mitral valve repair and balloon mitral valvuloplasty procedures. His interests in coronary heart disease involve radial artery access techniques and hybrid revascularization, accomplished by coupling coronary stenting with minimally invasive bypass surgery. Dr. Vesely sees cardiology patients both at the University of Maryland Cardiology Practice in Westminster, MD, and the Multi-Disciplinary Mitral Valve Disease program in Baltimore, MD.
