Research focus: Vaccine development, global health and infectious diseases
Research interests: Understanding the molecular basis of pathogenesis of RNA viruses, and conducting research towards the development of improved vaccines. Research focus on developing and characterizing animal models of human disease for biomedical research and use of such models to understand disease pathogenesis leading to development of innovative therapeutics. Keen interest in the areas of public health and epidemiology with studies focused towards understanding the global burden of infectious diseases in developing countries.
