Research Interests
My research interests include the evaluation of clinical outcomes of patient who have undergone epilepsy surgery, with goals to work toward less invasive pre-surgical evaluations for patients with medically refractory seizures. Other upcoming and current research involves the comparison of psychosocial measures in patients with psychogenic seizures and psychogenic movement disorders, as well as the identification of the prevalence of interictal mood and anxiety disorders in epilepsy patients with ictal fear and mood changes.
My clinical interests include the treatment of epilepsy and seizure disorders, including the surgical treatment of medically refractory epilepsy, as well as issues pertinent to women with epilepsy. I am also interested in the interface between psychiatry and epilepsy, and in particular, the improvement of diagnosis and treatment of co-morbid mood and anxiety disorders in patients with epilepsy.
