After completing her undergraduate training at Penn State, Dr. Perez graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 1999. She then completed her General Adult Psychiatric Training at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic (University of Pittsburgh Medical Center), where she served as chief resident in her last year. In 2003, she joined the faculty at University of Maryland. From 2005 until 2008, she served at the Director of Medical Student Education for the Department of Psychiatry. Currently she works in the Office of Student Affairs as one of the Assistant Deans. Additionally Dr. Perez treats patients in a community mental health clinic.
