Personal History:

Dr. Mariana Guerrero received her PhD from the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Guerrero trained as a post-doctoral fellow at T-11, Los Alamos National Laboratory, Los Alamos, New Mexico. Dr. Guerrero joined the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 2001 as a post-doctoral fellow and in 2004 as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Radiation Oncology. From 2006 to 2009 Dr. Guerrero worked as a Medical Physicist at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Washington DC. In 2009, Dr. Guerrero re-joined the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine as a Clinical Assistant Professor.

Research Interests:

Dr. Guerrero’s research interests include radiobiological modeling of radiation effects, imaging assessment of radiation response, intensity , modulated and image-guided radiation therapy, and portal dosimetry.
