1986: Graduated from Sun Yat-Sen University of Medical Sciences, Guangzhou, China
2003 - present: Faculty, Maryland Psychiatric Research Center, Department of Psychiatry, University of Maryland School of Medicine
Research Interests
Neurophysiology. Current interests on brain electral oscillations as biomarkers for genetic and translational studies. Eye movement and motion perception behavioral and imaging studies.
Functional MRI. Current interests in fMRI of schizophrenia, nicotine addiction, and as clinical trial end-point measures.
Genetic study. Association studies with clinical endophenotypes and in post-mortem tissue gene expression.
Clinical trials of novel compounds for treating schizophrenia core biological deficits. Current interest in nicotinic and GABAergic receptor agents.
