Biosketch

Ronald San Juan, M.D., is the Associate Program Director for the Combined Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Residency Program at the University of Maryland Medical Center.  He received his B.A. from Johns Hopkins University before obtaining his medical degree at the University of Michigan Medical School.  Dr. San Juan completed his residency in Internal Medicine/Pediatrics at the University of Maryland Medical Center, acting as the Med/Peds Chief Resident during his final year.  

As the Associate Program Director for the Med/Peds Residency, Dr. San Juan works closely with program leadership to oversee the training of the combined Med/Peds residents, and he plays an important role in the recruitment of new residents each year.  He also is very involved in the Catergorical Pediatrics Residency Program as a member of the Pediatric Education Team.

Clinically, Dr. San Juan is the Director of the Pediatric Urgent Care at Mercy Medical Center, where he works closely with residents and medical students from the University of Maryland.  His main research interest is in graduate medical education, with a particular focus on the use of computers and multimedia in medical training.
