Research Interests

Dr. Daniel A Wolde Rufael is an Infectious Disease Specialist and provides outpatient care and consults for patients infected with HIV disease, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C. Dr. Wolde Rufael treats HIV infected patients who have extensive experience with antiretroviral treatment and need new regime to control HIV disease; HIV patients with metabolic complications, HIV patients coinfected with Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C. He also provides Inpatient care and infectious disease consult for HIV patients.

Dr. Wolde Rufael participates in clinical trial research to study HIV and Hepatitis C treatment at the Institute of Human Virology located at the University of Maryland and is interested in clinical studies to determine optimal salvage antiretroviral regimens.
