Personal History
Alan S. Bellack, PhD, ABPP, received his PhD from the Pennsylvania State University in 1970. He was on the faculty of the University of Pittsburgh and Medical College of Pennsylvania before coming to the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He is a Fellow of the ACNP and of Divisions 12 and 28 of APA. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Behavior Therapy and the American Board of Professional Psychology. He has written or edited 35 books, and has published 165 journal articles. He is co-editor and co-founder of the journals Behavior Modification and Clinical Psychology Review. He was the first winner of the American Psychological Foundation Gralnick Foundation Award, and the 2006 winner of the American Psychological Foundation Alexander Gralnick Investigator Prize.
