Personal HistoryAt the Center for Integrative Medicine, Mr. Manheimer has oversight of the Database and Evaluation Core and is responsible for establishing an evidence-based center that is a leader in the assessment, synthesis and dissemination of complementary and integrative medicine literature. The Cochrane Collaboration Complementary Medicine (CM) Field, the heart of the evidence-based center, serves as a resource for researchers, providers and consumers interested in CM therapies. Mr. Manheimer comes to the Center for Integrative Medicine with research experience in both complementary medicine (CM) and evidence-based medicine. His first exposure to CM research was during summer internships at the National Institutes of Health, Office of Dietary Supplements, where he assisted in the development of a Congressionally mandated database of information on dietary supplements called CARDS (Computer Access to Research on Dietary Supplements).
