Research Interests

My current research interest is mechanisms and modulation of neuronal cell death, including in vitro studies using primary neuronal cultures and in vivo studies using rodent models of experimental traumatic brain injury. Particularly, I am interested in investigation of post-transcriptional and epigenetic regulation of genes expression in neuronal apoptosis. Another area of my research is identification of microRNAs (miRs) biomarkers for detection of neurological injuries.
