Personal History
Dr. Frayha completed her undergraduate studies at Emory University and then worked for a health care research and consulting firm in Washington, DC for four years. She graduated from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and stayed at the University of Maryland Medical Center for residency training in Internal Medicine. She completed an additional year as Chief Resident and joined the faculty in 2010.Dr. Frayha loves teaching and learning from medical students and residents. In addition to her clinical duties, she advises medical students in the Office of Student Affairs. She also serves as an Associate Director of the Internal Medicine residency program, spearheading the residency's research and mentorship programs in particular. As part of this effort, she has created and launched new educational conferences, including the Monthly Resident Research Forum and an annual Resident Research Grand Rounds.
