Research Interests
Dr. Travassos is a member of the CVD Malaria Group. His research focuses on malaria pathogenesis and epidemiology, with a particular focus on the contribution of parasite variant surface antigens to the development of clinical malaria.
Dr. Travassos's research also includes work in Ethiopia assessing vaccine coverage through the use of serosurveys.
