Dr. Sanses is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Urogynecology & Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery and the Director of the Outreach Program Development for Urogynecology at the University of Maryland Medical Center.
Dr. Sanses received her medical degree from the Minsk State Institute of Medicine in Minsk, Belarus. She completed her residency in OB/GYN at the First Clinical Hospital in Minsk and completed her internal medicine internship at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC. Dr. Sanses then completed her OB/GYN internship at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY with her OB/GYN residency at Georgetown University. She completed her fellowship training in Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center. Dr. Sanses recently graduated from the "Women in Leadership" program at the Weatherhead School of Management in Cleveland, OH.
Prior to joining the University of Maryland Medical Center, Dr. Sanses practiced at Case Western Reserve University in OB/GYN & Urogynecology. She was an active member of the Urologic Institute & Multidiscinplinary Pelvic Center at the University of Hospitals Case Medical Center. She also lead in the development of a community outreach Pelvic Floor Program and was the medical director of Urologic Institute of UH Richmond Medical Center, a campus of UH Regional Hospitals.
Dr. Sanses goals are to develop and be a leader in female pelvic medicine & reconstructive surgery throughout the University of Maryland Medical System and establish a culture of excellence in the field with a state-of-the-art virtual community outreach program. Dr. Sanses intends to make this program sustainable and efficient to provide high quality care to the women of Maryland.
Whether she is in clinic or a research setting, her goals are to provide women with the exceptional care they need, especially in matters that are so personal and private. Since Pelvic Floor Disorder prevalence increases with age, she provides care for many older women with urinary problems. She focuses on maintenance with her motto: "Stay continent, confident, and capable".
