Academic Component

The academic component of the program consists of enrollment in the Graduate School of the University of Maryland, Baltimore as a Master of Science degree student in Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine.

A total of thirty-six graduate credits are required for the degree, including research courses.

Residents participate in the Department’s weekly schedule of seminars, journal clubs, and workshops. They also serve as teaching fellows in selected medical school courses and as consultants in epidemiology and biostatistics for faculty researchers in other departments.
