Online Admission
Thank you for your interest in applying to the Master of Public Health Program. We welcome you to our online application system. This is the recommended process of applying and is actually the quickest and easiest way to apply.
All information entered through this system is transmitted through a secure server and is completely confidential.
Important Hints for Completing the Online Application:
- Before beginning this process, please review the Master of Public Health Program eligibility and admissions requirements and guidelines at http://medschool.umaryland.edu/epidemiology/mph/prospective.asp. Collect all of your information before you begin this process. We suggest that you allow at least 30 minutes to complete your online application.
- When you apply, you will create a Personal Identification Number (PIN) and password. This will allow you return to the application as many times as you wish before your final submission.
- It might be helpful to write down your PIN and Password in order to access the site and have the opportunity to review the progress of your application online.
- Be prepared to pay a non-refundable $75 application fee.
Supplemental Material:
In addition to completing your online application for the Master of Public Health degree, you are required to submit the following information in support of your candidacy for admission:
- Three letters of recommendation from academic advisors, faculty members, employers or other supervisors (http://medschool.umaryland.edu/epidemiology/mph/prospective.asp)
- Official transcripts from all higher education institutions attended
- Official standardized test scores , which is one of the following (GRE, MCAT, LSAT, PCAT, DAT or VCAT)
- Up-to-date curriculum vitae (CV) or resume
- Application for In-State Status Classification (Maryland residents only)
International applicants must also provide:
- Official transcripts and mark sheets in English and official native language from each college or university attended. Each set of documents must list subjects studied, grades or marks received, and rank in class or division. An official evaluation (in a sealed envelope) from a foreign credential evaluation service confirming that the foreign degree earned is equivalent to a US baccalaureate must also accompany the application
- Official Test of English as a Foreign (TOEFL) International Applicants required of applicants whose native language is not English
Non-degree applicants (course-work only):
Applicants who are applying for non-degree status and plan to take coursework only (six credits) must complete and submit the online application and send the following information:
- Up-to-date curriculum vitae (CV) or resume
- Transcripts from all higher education institutions attended
- Test of English as a Foreign (TOEFL) International Applicants - Required of applicants whose native language is not English
- Application for In-State Status Classification (Maryland residents only)
