Pharmacoepidemiology

This is a joint program with DEPM the School of Pharmacy’s Pharmaceutical Health Services Research Graduate Program (PHSR). PHSR doctoral students may simultaneously earn a MS in Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine with their PhD in PHSR.

Toxicology, Risk Assessment and Environmental Law

This unique training program places an emphasis on the importance of incorporating scientific knowledge of the toxicity of chemicals in the risk assessment process and the development of effective environmental regulations for protecting human and ecological health.

Residency Training in Preventive Medicine

DEPM sponsors an accredited residency training program in Preventive Medicine for physicians with at least one year of post-graduate training. Residents obtain a MS or MPH degree as part of the residency, which incorporates rotations at a number of sites, including UMMS, the Baltimore VA Medical Center, the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and FDA and other federal agencies.
