The Endocrinology, Diabetes & Nutrition Division in the Department of Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is seeking candidates for the following positions.
Section Head, Baltimore VA Medical Center (Position number 3-309-523):
Physician-scientist to assume the role of Head of the Endocrine Section at the Baltimore VAMC. Successful candidate will be an accomplished licensed physician/scientist with a successful independently funded research program in clinical/translational or basic science that will lead a vigorous research and clinical program at the VA and contribute to the tripartide mission of the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
Endocrinology Faculty Positions (Position number 3-309-592):
Physician-scientist to join a vibrant group of 27 current faculty (see Department of Medicine). The successful candidate will be an accomplished independently funded investigator in clinical/translational or basic science research who will also contribute to the clinical, teaching and service missions of the University. Clinical responsibilities will include management of diabetes in a comprehensive multi-disciplinary setting at the University of Maryland Medical Center, and general endocrinology in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Successful applicants will also have opportunities to engage in clinical/translational research and contribute to the teaching duties of the Division. All candidates must be board certified in Endocrinology. Faculty rank/tenure status/salary dependent upon candidate background.
Assistant/Associate Professor (Position number 3-309-719)
Physician to provide management of diabetes at the Baltimore Veterans Administration Medical Center. Must be board certified in internal medicine and board eligible/certified in endocrinology. Successful applicants will be expected to develop an active research program in clinical/translational or basic science and assist with the teaching duties of the Division.
