Dr. Stass is the Interim Chair of the Department of Medical and Research Technology and Chair of the Department of Pathology. Dr. Stass received his M.D. in 1971 from the University of Missouri. He has boards from the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic Pathology (1977), Clinical Pathology (1977) and Hematopathology (1978). He also serves as Director of University of Maryland Medical Center Laboratories of Clinical and Anatomic Pathology. His research and clinical interests are hematopathology and molecular diagnostics.
