A Joint Facility of the UM School of Pharmacy & the Greenbaum Cancer Center
The X-ray Crystallography Core Facility (Xtal) was established in 2006 by the University of Maryland Schools of Pharmacy and Medicine, in partnership with the Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Cancer Center (UMGCC) at the University of Maryland Medical Center.
Under supervision of the x-ray crystallography community and available to all research groups inside and outside the campus, our facility provides X-ray crystallography services to study the structure-function relationship of proteins, including instrument and expertise for automated protein crystallization screening, x-ray diffraction data collecting and processing from macromolecular single crystals.
