Shared Electron Microscope Facility
Objectives:
To provide faculty and students low cost access to high performance transmission electron microscopy.
Applications:
• Negative Staining to visualize viruses, assembly of filaments, characterize membrane preps.
• Immunolocalization using colloidal gold to localize antibodies to specific components.
• Thin section structural analysis
Personnel:
Dr. James B. Wade is PI and director or the facility. Dr. Richard A. Coleman is responsible for training users and day to day supervision of the facility.

EM use $30 /hr
Discounted charge for heavy users $10/hr (minimum of 50 hrs/yr)
