Classes - Overview

C.H.A.M.P. offers a variety of health education classes in the areas of cardiovascular disease risk reduction: Cholesterol Education; Diabetes Education; High Blood Pressure Education; Healthy Kids, Healthy Future; Heart Healthy Cooking; and I Can, I Will Be Happy, Be Healthy.

These patient health education classes are offered at our office or they can be held at a church, recreation center, senior center...anywhere people may need health information! Call today to schedule a session!

C.H.A.M.P. trains community volunteers in a number of areas to help educate Baltimore City residents about ways to modify risk for factors for cardiovascular disease. Once completing these courses, participants will receive a certificate of completion.


Patient Health Education Classes

The purpose of our health education classes is to help individuals develop knowledge and skills to prevent or control risk factors that lead to cardiovascular disease.

C.H.A.M.P. can offer blood pressure measurement, vision screening, and health education information at health fairs and screenings across Baltimore City.

Health Provider Information

Are you a health provider and want to provide additional health information and support to help your patients better monitor and control their cardiovascular disease? We provide health information and monitoring services to those with high blood pressure as well as information and support for diabetics and those with high cholesterol. Our educational sessions focus largely on behavior modification through proper nutrition, encouragement of exercise and increased knowledge of disease processes. High blood pressure monitoring services are offered twice monthly at our office.
