Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a U.S. citizen or non-citizen national, or permanent resident in possession of an Alien Registration Receipt Card (I-151 or I-155);
- Have an MD, DO, DDS, DMD, DPH, OD, DC, PharmD, ND (Doctor of Naturopathy), PhD, PsyD or be an epidemiologist, behavioral scientist or nurse with a doctoral degree and have completed residency training (or its equivalent);
- Be able to commit at least 75 percent of full-time professional effort to the MCRCDP and its related clinical research activities for a three to five year period;
- Not be or have been a Principal Investigator on a R01 or R29 award or on a subproject of a Program Project (P01), Center (P50, P60, U54), mentored career development (K-series) grant, or other equivalent research grant award, except for a R03 or R21.
- Have or plan to obtain an affiliation with a University Center, Institute, or laboratory providing an excellent environment for research; and
- Be committed to a career in multidisciplinary patient-oriented research.
(NOTE: Individuals planning a career in basic science research or animal research are NOT eligible for this program)
