Application Process
Applications for the three-year continuum in Anesthesiology are accepted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). The program director reviews credentials and selects applicants to visit the department for an interview. Interviews are conducted from October to February. Final selection of residents is by committee, based upon the application and the interview. The residency program abides by the rules of the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) for final selection of trainees. The University of Maryland Anesthesiology Program’s NRMP number is 125-004.
Residency Applications are directed to Dr. Mary Njoku and should include the following:

- Personal Statement
- Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE) or Dean’s Letter
- 2 Letters of Recommendation from current supervising faculty or teachers
