Editorial Standards
The Office of Public Affairs has established editorial standards to protect the integrity of the name and image of University of Maryland School of Medicine.
These standards require consistency in the use of logos, and when referring to the name of the institution in all print and Web publications and stationery representing the School of Medicine. Publications include newsletters, brochures, flyers, posters and advertising. Stationery includes letterhead, envelopes and business cards.

Our Name
The correct names for the School of Medicine are "University of Maryland School of Medicine" and "School of Medicine."
The following are NOT correct: "University of Maryland Medical School," "University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Medicine," "University of Maryland Medical Center," or "University of Maryland Medical System."
Our Logo
The School of Medicine bicentennial logo is the official logo of the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Brochures, posters, stationery (including business cards and letterhead) and other publications must use the bicentennial logo.
