CITI Training Instructions

The Human Research Protections Office (HRPO) requires All individuals (including IRB members) engaged in human participant research at the University of Maryland Baltimore (UMB) to take the University of Miami CITI Training human participant protections training.

Individuals are required to only take the modules, Social/Behavioral OR Biomedical, most related to the type of research in which they are engaged.

The CITI training must be completed Annually in order to continue conducting human participant research at UMB.

Please note the following:

The CITI training link may also be used to complete the VA requirements for training and education, which is due on the anniversary of completion of your previous required training.

Please read the CITI training instructions below before starting the CITI modules.

 

If you have taken the CITI Training within the last year, you are only required to take the refresher course on the anniversary of your initial completion.
