MCTSA - Data Services

Back to MCTSA Home. 

The Data Services track utilizes the NSC’s expertise in the areas of statistics, epidemiology, and programming. Through synergized efforts, the Data Services track has the ability to:

  • Advance the interpretation/analysis of multiple data sets to address the four E’s of traffic safety (education, enforcement, engineering, and EMS) , providing State and local level outputs
  • Provide statistical analyses needed to evaluate legislative and programmatic initiatives and support highway safety policy decisions
  • Serve as data support services for the Maryland Strategic Highway Safety Plan (SHSP)
  • Continue coordination of the statewide seat belt observational survey methodology and survey design infrastructure
  • Provide data fact sheets in support of partner agencies
  • Serve as a data and analytical resource for State agencies, such as the Highway Safety Office, Motor Vehicle Administration
