Ms. Bramble is publisher of several community newspapers in Maryland, including The Baltimore Times, Annapolis Times, Shore Times and Prince George's County Times. She also founded Times Community Services (TCS), Inc., a philanthropic foundation of The Baltimore Times Newspapers where she is currently chair of the Board of Directors. Organized in 1998, TCS’ mission is to improve the quality of life for African Americans and other minorities by promoting health behaviors, reducing health disparities, and empowering people with health awareness and positive stories. TCS and The Baltimore Times has effectively utilized both print and broadcast media to disseminate health specific information and programs throughout the State. Ms. Bramble sits on several boards and commissions including The University of Maryland School of Medicine Board of Trustees, Maryland Education Coalition and Goodwill Industries.

Mrs. Mervin A. Savoy is an enrolled member of the Piscataway Conoy Confederacy the largest indigenous tribe residing in the state of Maryland. Mrs. Savoy has held the position as the duly elected Tribal Chairwoman of the tribe since August 1980. Mrs. Savoy has won many honors and has been recognized for her outstanding work in the American Indian community. Some of her more recent honors and awards include the Baltimore Times’ Distinguished Woman Award, Outstanding Citizen Award, Woman of Achievement Award, Cancer Society Volunteer of the Year, Torchbearers Award and Certificate of Recognition for Improving Minority Achievement, to name a few. Mrs. Savoy has had thirty years of experience in managing federal and state grant programs where she is responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day activities of these programs. Mrs. Savoy conducts health disparities and cultural competency workshops through out the state of Maryland and nationally.

Ms. Susan Stewart
Western Maryland Area Health Education Center
Ms. Susan Stewart is the Executive Director of the Western Maryland Area health Education Center, a non-profit organization with the mission to improve access to and promote quality in health care through educational partnerships. During her tenure in this position, Ms. Stewart has engaged in developing and sustaining health education partnerships that benefit the rural Appalachian communities of Western Maryland. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Associated Charities of Cumberland, Maryland; the Board of Directors of the Human Resources Development Commission, Inc. of Cumberland, Maryland; and the American Cancer Society Leadership Council for Allegany and Garrett counties Maryland. Ms Stewart is also the Acting Regional Coordinator for the University of Maryland Statewide Health Network’s western region and is a member of the Maryland Statewide Oral health Coalition, the National AHEC Organization, the Maryland Rural Health Association, the Access to Care Workgroup of Allegany County, and the Maryland Rural Health Plan Steering Committee. Prior to working at Western Maryland AHEC, she was the Executive Director of the Carver Community Center, Inc, an entrepreneur, and a teacher of at-risk youth in the public schools.
