MPRC Training Grant

Psychiatry/Psychology Post Doctoral Fellows:

The Maryland Psychiatric Research Center (MPRC), an international leader in schizophrenia research, seeks applicants for a two year training program for fellows from psychiatry, psychology, pharmacy practice, and laboratory neuroscience who are committed to a career in schizophrenia research. Faculty include William T. Carpenter, Jr., Robert Buchanan, Robert Conley, James Gold, Henry Holcomb, Adrienne Lahti, Gunvant Thaker, and Malle Tagamets. The MPRC has a strong record of helping fellows develop their own research careers.

Each class of trainees will share educational activities, which include MPRC's internal course on schizophrenia, a fellows journal club, lunch with outside speakers, a grant writing exercise, an outside review aimed at furthering the fellow's career, and a monthly lunch with the MPRC Director (Dr. Carpenter).

Fellows must be U.S. citizens, non-citizen nationals, or permanent residents. For more information, contact William Carpenter, MD at wcarpent@mprc.umaryland.edu.
