How to Apply
The MD/MPH Program is open to qualified applicants, regardless of state residence. The Program is open to applicants with undergraduate, Masters and/or PhD degrees and to students currently enrolled in the MD program (a limited number of qualified students from each of the current Y1 and Y2 classes may apply).
Applicants to the combined Program who are not yet medical students are required to meet the admissions requirements of the School of Medicine. You must first submit an AMCAS application. After receipt of the AMCAS application by the Admissions office, applicants may then go to the School of Medicine's Office of Admissions site to access the secondary and MD/MPH supplemental applications. Criteria for admission include MCAT scores, undergraduate/graduate academic records, letters of recommendation and documented interest in public health. One of the letters of recommendation must speak to the applicant's interest in and qualifications for the MPH program, or one additional letter in this regard can be sent directly to the MD/MPH Program.
Based on the above criteria, selected applicants will be invited to an afternoon interview with the MD/MPH Program following their medical school admissions program. Admission to the MD/MPH Program is determined by the MD/MPH Advisory Committee, in consultation with the Medical School Admissions Committee.
